Make the portal types description consistent.
This page is very important for first time users and it must give the feeling to the people who try CPS that CPS is well thought and consistent (which it is).
Some examples of wording problems in English
Web Document : A basic document that can be used to create an HTML page
=> Web document is not basic, it's flexible and powerful
File : Indexed attached file
=> Bad description and surely meaningless for most users
Link : An URL
=> Bad description and surely meaningless for most users, and too short a description compared to others
Chat : A chat
=> Bad description and surely meaningless for most users, and too short a description compared to others
Forum : Holds threaded discussions
=> Every other description starts with "A document", "A container". Wording style should be consistent.
etc.
Some examples of wording problems in French
Chat : Une session de bavardage clavier ou 'Chat'
=> quoting should be done in French using the latin quotes « ».
Wiki : contient des pages modifiables en ligne
=> Every other description starts with "A document", "A container". Wording style should be consistent. And every description should start with a capital letter.
More choices label
And finally the "More choices" label translations are inconsistent too:
* more choices in English
* + de choix in French
* -- más opciones -- in Spanish
I would recommend something like:
* + More choices in English
* + Plus de choix in French
* + Más opciones in Spanish
Because:
* It's better to have a link which starts with a capital, it's more legible.
* The + sign gives a useful visual hint. But it could also be replaced with an icon.
