Mysterious "clear:both" causes disturbing 1px problem

Description

Generally, i find that the option of vertical-alignment is missing but we still can play on top-padding/margin. Here the problem keeps showing up : a mysterious 1 pix high border just under the tabs. Disappear when increasing font-size then coming again. See zexp and screenshot.

i thought it was because of an extra portlet in slot but no. The pix keeps appearing.
